Mystery picture evolved from a an accidental shot, which ended up looking exactly like the filter in photoshop that most of us have used. In this case the results are done by flash, zoom and just the right amount of shutter speed.

Mikko Savinainen (Demens) > Interesting effect, as you throw boiling water in air at freezing temperatures. The water vaporizes almost instantly, most of it before hitting the ground.

The shot was produced by slowly dripping the water to the ground, freezing it with a flash and the camera in portrait, after that switching it to landscape and triggering the flash again.

You can see the water dripping like bullets in the center lines.

This one started to get a little challenging as my gear started to fail due freezing one after another. So no wireless flashes. The shot is a compilation of 15 second shutter time, me running here and there to manually trigger a flash for the mirror, kicking snow in the air and freezing that with one flash too and then aiding the lighting of the mirror character.
